"Peacocking," by Elena Samarsky, a Ukrainian-born Israeli painter based in New York, who will be artist in residence at the Red Barn Studio Museum from Friday through the month, drawing on natural and man-made landscapes of the Midwest. She is a self-taught artist who studied sociology at the University of Oxford. With poet Timothy Tarkelly she produced the book "All Other Forms of Expression." Her website is lensamarskyart.com.
