Adieu, Santa
Roger Verdon, the burly Irishman from New York who found love and home in Little Sweden, died Oct. 6 at his home in Lindsborg. He had struggled for two years with heart disease. He was 75.

The Gospel breaking through

Planting puts shade to Victorian ideal
This year Sue and Martin Eddy have grown unconventional plants in front of their house on South Washington. These are plants that attract butterflies, bees, and moths to pollinate them, that do not need to be mowed, and that require little to no irrigation once established.

Main Street Media last week sold The Lindsborg News-Record to CherryRoad Media, a privately held New Jersey company that expanded from information technology in late 2020 and has since bought or started more than 80 small newspapers in 18 states, saying it wants to promote local journalism.
