The Bethany College baseball team evenly split a four-game series at Huston-Tillotson University in Austin, Texas, Saturday and Sunday.

The Bethany College's Jackson Wallace took second in the 1,000-meter race, with a time of 2:50.49, at the Herm Wilson Invitational indoor track and field meet Friday and Saturday at Wichita State University. The Swedes' Dylan Brice was third in the pole vault, with 14 feet 4 inches.

The Bethany College men's basketball team beat York University at home Dec. 29, in a 77-70 game with six double-digits scorers, two technical fouls, and a second-half comeback for the Swedes.

At the Sterling Invitational tournament last week, the Smoky Valley girls went 2-1 to finish fifth, while the boys went 1-2 to finish sixth.

The Bethany College wrestling team lost at Ottawa University on Jan. 21, 59-0. The Swedes had only three wrestlers across 11 weight classes: Tristan Van de Velde, David Bowerman, and Warezzi Mitchell.

Bethany College pole vaulter Dylan Brice placed third at the Concordia Classic indoor track & field meeting in Seward, Neb., on Saturday. He cleared 14 feet 5.25 inches. The winner made 16 feet 4.75 inches.

The Bethany College baseball team opened its season by losing all three games against Texas Wesleyan University in Fort Worth.
