Crawley says Bethany is stable, will hold liberal arts line
In her first State of the College address, Bethany President Laura Crawley argued Friday for the continuing importance of a “whole person” liberal arts education during an age of specialization, and she told an overflow audience at Pearson Chapel that school finances were stable, although the 144-year-old institution would always need to stay on its toes. “This college has had grit and resilience, and has been up and down throughout its history,” said Crawley, who started May 1.
